DEVON XTREME ACQUIRE DEFENCEMAN JAXSON MARTIN FROM LA RONGE ICE WOLVES

The Devon Xtreme have acquired Defenceman Jaxson Martin from the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the SJHL, in exchange for Player development fees.

Martin played his 2023-24 season with the Ice Wolves, putting up 11 points in 52 games.

He spoke about how he was ready to get going this season following the move saying, “I’m super excited to join the team, and see what we can do. I’ve heard Kelly (Head Coach & GM Kelly Buchberger) is a great coach, and I’m ready to get started.”

Martin defined himself as a player saying, “I’m a defensive Defenceman who moves the puck well, and plays a physical game. I also bring some leadership and experience to the team.”

He spoke more about the leadership he brings mentioning, “I like helping the younger guys get into the league. I know for me it was tough coming from midget into junior, so I want to make it as easy as I can for the younger guys coming up.”

Martin finished the interview by making a final statement about his excitement to join up with Devon for the 2024-25 season.
