DEVON XTREME HIRE HEAD COACH TAYLOR HARNETT

The Devon Xtreme are proud to announce the hiring of the Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Taylor Harnett!

Harnett has an extensive 30 year coaching career spending time in Edmonton coaching at the U15 AAA and U18 AAA levels before moving on in 2017 to become the Head Coach & General Manager of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Before arriving in Devon, Harnett’s most recent position was with the Prince George Spruce Kings in the BCHL where he was an integral member of their coaching staff.

When accepting the role of Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel, Harnett says, “It’s an honour to be joining the Devon Xtreme and the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). I have had the good fortune of coaching many hockey players who have contributed to the AJHL, and have been a fan of the league for many years.

I look forward to a continued commitment on helping build and maintain relationships between this community and our players.

We will strive to achieve great success and form an on-ice product that fans can truly enjoy supporting throughout the 2025/2026 season and beyond. I would finally like to thank the ownership group for giving me this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to get fully invested within the community of Devon, and do my part in developing these players on and off the ice, helping guide them to new and exciting opportunities.”

President Craig Kibblewhite says, “We are very excited to have Taylor step into this role with the Devon Xtreme, and look forward to the wealth of experience he brings to our team. We couldn’t be more confident that he will help build this program into a great product for Devon fans to enjoy.”

Welcome to Devon Coach Harnett!
