The Devon Xtreme have acquired 20-year-old forward Rylan Ringor from the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, for player development fees.
Ringor played 57 regular season games in the 2023-24 season for The Oil Barons, recording 30 points in that time.
Following the trade Ringor spoke about joining Devon this season saying, “Obviously I’m super excited, it’s a new team so there is a lot of uncertainty, but I think it’s going to be super fun. There’s going to be a lot of growing, and figuring things out together, but I’m excited to see what it holds.”
When talking about what he feels he brings on the ice for The Xtreme he mentioned, “I would say first and foremost playmaking, and definitely a pass first guy. I love to setup my teammates, and give them high danger scoring chances.”
Being a 20-year-old player Ringor also mentioned the leadership he can bring stating, “It’s my fourth year in junior so you know I’ve been around the game for a while, and I’ve played with my fair share of twenty’s (20-year-old players) so I know how they have operated on and off the Ice. So I’m looking forward to hopefully having a huge leadership roll this year.”
