DEVON XTREME ACQUIRE DEFENCEMAN BRYNN MACLEAN

The Devon Xtreme are proud to announce the acquisition of defenceman Brynn Maclean from the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Maclean played a total of 46 games in the 2023-24 season, split between the Nipiwan Hawks and La Ronge.

He spoke over the phone about his recent movement to Devon saying, “I’m feeling really good, it’s really exciting with it being a new team. Overall I’m just really looking forward to it.”

When asked to describe himself as a player on the ice Maclean said, “I pride myself on making a really strong first pass and winning as many corner battles as possible. I wanna play lockdown defence as well as I can, but I also want to be a threat in the offensive zone, so I try my best to get shots through and create chances for myself and teammates.”

Maclean stepped into his first AJHL action back in the 2021-22 season where he affiliated for the Calgary Canucks while still playing at the U18 level full time. He feels having many Junior A games under his belt is another thing he brings to the table saying, “I think I bring some experience and hopefully some guidance to the younger players. As well be a good teammate.”

Maclean will join the team for training camp in August as the Inaugural season for the Xtreme continues to draw closer
